2023 Virtual Polar Plunge Run
To Benefit Special Olympics Indiana
Freezin’ for a Reason is back this year! Special Olympics Indiana invites you to be a part of its signature fundraiser by competing remotely in the second annual Polar Plunge Run! Register here at Its Your Race (no other registration required) and complete a 5k or 10k anywhere and anytime during the 2023 Polar Plunge season to make a splash for Special Olympics athletes in your community and beyond.
-----WHENAnytime between Monday, December 19, 2022 and Thursday, March 31, 2023.-----WHEREAnywhere!!! Run or walk in your neighborhood, around a local park, on your treadmill or even while on vacation.-----ENTRY FEES/DEADLINES
Free entry fee participant to get started. Online registration is available until Tuesday, March 28th at 11:59 p.m.
In order to receive swag you must $85 in fundraising.
Additional fundraising is encouraged, with incentives including the 2023 Polar Plunge Run race medal seen above for all runners who raise $85 or more, including registration fee. Participants who take their support even further through fundraising, will receive the medal and a prize depending on their final fundraising total as seen below.
Polar Plunge blanket ($300), beach towels ($500), and backpack chair ($1,000) available. All incentives will be shipped at the conclusion of this event. Prizes are not cumulative.

AWARDS
Awards will be earned by the top Polar Plunge Run fundraiser, and by the top three male finishers and the top three female finishers.

Please download the IYR Virtual Mobile App on App Store or Google Play and read the instructions here:
This app will allow you to run your virtual race and automatically track your pace, distance and overall time. The app will recognize the race distance that you registered for and will automatically stop your session at the appropriate distance (eg 3.1 miles for a 5K virtual race) and send your results in. It's the closest thing you can get to running a real race!
